Citehouse charges builder customers per 1K tokens returned, against a monthly minimum that scales with volume. Annual prepay carries a 10% discount on the minimum. No platform fees, no setup fees on the builder side.

- Tokens returned are the tokens in the retrieval response, not the input query. Aligns billing with what the agent actually consumes.
- Monthly minimums are commitments. Unused commitment rolls into the next calendar month up to 50% of the prior month's minimum.
- Annual prepay earns a 10% discount on the monthly minimum tier rate. Twelve-month term, paid up front.
- Society revenue split lives upstream of your invoice. Builder pricing does not change if a society's share moves.
What is not included
- Custom MCP tooling beyond the standard catalog (
query_standard, lookup_section, cite_passage, list_corpora) is charged at a one-time engineering fee from $5,000 to $25,000 depending on scope. - White-glove integration sprints are available at $15,000 / week, capped at four weeks.
- Volume above 1B tokens / month is contracted custom; rates are quoted per society and per workload.
